A pregnant mother-of-two found fatally injured in a pool of blood next to her ex-partner last Saturday was discovered by her own devastated father.
Michelle Darragh, 32, died at her former partner Ben Coman’s Bayswater North home in Huntington Avenue east of Melbourne on Saturday at about 7.30pm.
Ms Darragh’s father made the horrific discovery after becoming worried she had been away from her parents’ home nearby at The Basin for several hours.
The couple, who lived at the address with their two young boys, separated a fortnight ago.

Ms Darragh returned to Mr Coman’s house to collect belongings on Saturday.
Mr Coman, a tradesman who runs a cabinet-making business, was seen going for a walk nearby at the time.
Several hours later Ms Darragh, a social worker, died at the couple’s former home in a tragic scene which has become a homicide investigation.

Her father become concerned she had been gone several hours and rushed to the property, a neighbour at Huntington Avenue said, news.com.au reported.
When nobody answered the door and the father could not access the house, he climbed over a neighbour’s fence to gain access.
When he discovered the tragic scene he immediately called emergency services.
Mr Coman, 29, was found with life-threatening injuries at the home and survived.

He remains under police guard at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and has yet to be interviewed by homicide detectives.
No charges have been laid over Ms Darragh’s grisly death.
Neighbours also said they saw police forensics experts remove a bloodied mattress from the house on Monday.
Emergency services visited the couple’s home four weeks before Ms Darragh’s death over fears for Mr Coman’s mental and physical health, the Herald Sun reported.
Forensic specialists scoured the home on Sunday which was cordoned off with police tape.
Victoria Police said they were ‘not looking for anyone else in relation to this incident’.
Ms Darragh’s heartbroken family said they want her to be remembered as ‘the most beautiful soul that you could ever get,’ a family member told The Age.
‘She lived for her kids and family and always put other people first in front of her own self.
‘We will always remember her beautiful nature and her infectious smile that lit the room up when she walked into it.’
They said she adored her two sons and was a dedicated, loving mother.

A neighbour of the deceased woman said he saw the victim’s parents outside the house crying and screaming.
Neighour Trent Falahey said he saw Ms Darragh’s distraught parents crying outside the home before the woman’s mother asked if he had ‘heard anything’.
‘You don’t expect these things to happen in your neighbourhood,’ he said.
He added they were a ‘fantastic’ and ‘lovely couple’ who had been at the property for about four years.
‘They were great neighbours … it is a pretty tight neighbourhood we all know each other,’ he said.
