Internationally renowned fitness giant F45 has launched a new separate pilates, yoga and tone class.

The new fitness concept FS8 blends the best elements of yoga and pilates workout styles into one 45-minute workout circuit.

The name stands for ‘functional style’ training and the eight represents the number of training modules the brand combines to create workout.

Members can expect to burn unwanted calories through a group training experience the incorporates a pilates reformer, mat work, lightweight dumbbells and activation bands to give participants a low-pact but high-energy workout.

Several studios are located across New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland, with more set to open across Australia in the coming months.

Putting a new spin on the trending Reformer Pilates, each FS8 workout is designed to break the mould of low impact fitness by incorporating revolutionary, science-backed techniques to lengthen, strengthen, stabilise and mobilise the body.

Former Australian professional surfer and three-time World Champion, Mick Fanning is the face of FS8, and having practiced yoga for over two decades, he’s excited for others to experience what FS8 has to offer.

‘I started doing yoga over 20 years ago now and I’ve probably done pilates for around the last 10 years,’ he said.

‘It’s definitely something where I tried, even when I was competing on tour, to try and get a session or two each week from each of those disciplines.

‘I really like the blend of it all with FS8. I’ve always tried to incorporate a whole bunch of different things in my training so this is perfect for me. I can just go in and do three different disciplines in 45 minutes to get back to surfing or the family.’

The daily workouts are remixed from over 3,000 exercises ensuring no two fitness routines are the same, which will make participants move their bodies differently every time

Just like an F45 session, members will be greeted by one of the expert trainers at the start of the class who will run the workout.

Difficulty can also be adjusted depending on your fitness level and experience.

Every FS8 space is a boutique studio, not a gym, with clean lines, natural finishes and vibrant fresh feel.

A yoga warm up will prepare your body to feel the burn before each session and the televisions mounted on the walls will guide you through the workout.

To assist with recovery, the class will conclude with relaxing yoga movements and stretches.

A membership costs $69.95 per week with no sign up fee required.
