Britain remains on edge as part of the M3 motorway remains completely closed after fears of a bomb scare.
Both directions of the motorway in Hampshire were closed at 4am this morning after police were called to the scene, causing major traffic delays this morning.
The bomb scare means that the motorway is closed both ways between junction 9 and 11 at Winchester, as cars continued to queue past junction 12, Eastleigh.
Fire crews and ambulance hazardous response team also attended the scene, while Hampshire Police refused to elaborate on what the incident was, only calling it a ‘serious police incident’.
