Meghan Markle’s supporters have slammed the hosts of Australia’s Today show for mocking the Duchess of Sussex’s new children’s book.

Sussex supporters have criticised the presenters for playfully mocking the Duchess of Sussex, with some insisting they should be ‘fired’.

‘These people should be fired,’ one person Tweeted. ‘Critics without shame. Look in the mirror,’ another wrote.

‘Australian media is that bad that the Today show is maybe more anti Meghan and right wring – just so you know,’ a third said.

While some criticised the co-hosts for bursting into laughter, others found the whole thing rather amusing.

‘Thank you Today Show Australia for the laughs,’ one person commented.

News and sports presenter Alex Cullen also cracked up while listening to Meghan dedicate the book to Prince Harry and their son Archie.

‘For the man and the boy who make my heart go pump-pump,’ Meghan cooed in the clip.

Alex burst out laughing immediately after, before spluttering: ‘Sorry! It’s very hard to keep a straight face.’

An amused Ally responded: ‘Why is it difficult to keep a straight face, Alex? It’s a lovely story.’

‘As we always say, pump-pump,’ added Karl, which caused Ally to snicker: ‘Up the jam!’

The trio then started singing the lyrics to the 1989 Technotronic hit, Pump Up the Jam.
