She tied the knot with fiancé William Lee Kemp in a stunning wedding on the island of Mallorca in September.
And Jess Wright admits there was ‘no plan B’ should things have not gone to plan with the nuptials amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, with the bride admitting the uncertainty of her wedding being potentially postponed was ‘torturous’.
Speaking exclusively to MailOnline ahead of her new show Jess Wright: The Wedding, the former TOWIE star, 35, also told how there was ‘pressure’ for the day to go ahead as she wants to start a family soon because she’s ‘not getting any younger’.
‘There was no plan B!’: Jess Wright admitted the fear of her wedding being postponed again amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic was ‘torturous’
Like many brides, Jess was forced to postponed her first wedding date due to Covid restrictions and faced more unpredictability as she tried to re-plan her big day, with the fear that it could all be cancelled again playing on her mind.
But the star faced even more pressure for her day as not only was she planning it abroad with no alterative arrangements back in England, but she was filming the whole lead-up to the nuptials for her very own ITVBe show, and with production already underway; there was no going back.
She explained: ‘We didn’t really have a plan B, no. We kind of looked at England, but Will really didn’t want to do it in England, and I understood that. It was just torturous!
Big plans: The former TOWIE star, 35, also told how there was ‘pressure’ for the day to go ahead as she wants to start a family soon because she’s ‘not getting any younger’
‘Obviously, because we had the TV show as well, we knew that they were following it. So, you know, it wasn’t even like we really could turn around and say, “oh, we’ll do it in a few years”, because it was too far gone.’
The singer also admitted that the idea of pushing the date back a few years was unappealing as she and William plan to have children in the near future, adding: ‘And also, we want to start a family and I’m not getting any younger, so there was a lot of pressure.’
Her beau William popped the question on the snow capped peaks of Courchevel, France, in February 2020 after 13 months of dating.
And amid the stress of the pandemic, lockdowns and travel restrictions, Jess confessed that there were times she didn’t think her wedding would even happen.

All or nothing: The star was filming the whole lead-up to the nuptials for her very own ITVBe show, and with production already underway; there was no going back
‘It’s was just a completely torturous year, wasn’t it?’ she said. ‘Of not knowing whether it will or won’t happen, I did think “this isn’t going to happen”, and then I thought “it will happen”.
‘And then it won’t, then it will! And then it was like, “should we move it to England?” There was just so many, so many things! We just never knew up until even a month before, which is crazy.’
Luckily for Jess, the wedding came around with postponement fears out of he window and the day going off without a hitch. But that didn’t stop her worrying about other things on the day as she revealed that being completely relaxed was ‘slightly impossible’.
Future: The singer admitted that the idea of pushing the date was unappealing as she and William plan to have children in the near future, adding: ‘We want to start a family and I’m not getting any younger, so there was a lot of pressure’

Bride’s prerogative: ‘I mean, literally there was always moments here and there of like people just flapping, and I’m quite a control freak about things. I just would be like, “What are you doing?”
She recalled: ‘I mean, literally there was always moments here and there of like people just flapping, and I’m quite a control freak about things. I just would be like, “What are you doing?”, “please don’t do that or do this”.
‘But I mean, mainly, I think the main worry was just everyone being really hot. We were so hot. That was a big thing and just the timing of the day. It just runs away with you and you don’t want to miss any of it.’
And with the best day of her life crammed into a one hour thirty minute TV special, Jess teased what else fans can expect to see, with a serious moment and a big reveal on the cards.

The big day: ‘There’s some other things in there, there’s a reveal – a really big surprise in my family. So there are lots of different elements to it. But ultimately, obviously, it’s all about the wedding’
She explained: ‘It’s obviously following my wedding, but it’s a lot of stuff in between. There’s some real kind of serious stuff in there as well, something that I go through personally that has not been spoken about yet.
