The Block: Mitch Edwards and Mark McKie unleash on Tanya Guccione

The Block’s Mitch Edwards and Mark McKie unleash on villain Tanya Guccione and call her a ‘silly woman’ ahead of auction day

The Block’s Mitch Edwards and Mark McKie did not hold back when asked for their thoughts on Tanya Guccione ahead of auction day.

The Faves team blasted the 39-year-old makeup artist during an interview with Hit Queensland’s Breakfast with Cliffo & Gabi on Wednesday.

They were asked for their response to Tanya calling them ‘pigs’ earlier in the season, and Josh and Luke Packham describing them as ‘rude, rich snobs’.

Hitting back: The Block’s Mitch Edwards and Mark McKie called Tanya Guccione a ‘silly woman’ on Wednesday, after she’d called them ‘pigs’ earlier in the season

‘I’m kind of not so bad with the “rude, rich, grandpa, old snob” [insult] because the rich part is like, “Yay, thank you so much,”‘ Mitch joked.

But he said he did not appreciate being labelled a pig, sarcastically calling it a ‘pretty cool’ insult for a grown woman to use.

Mark then chimed in to say Tanya hadn’t ‘technically’ said they were pigs – but this was again a sarcastic comment on how she’d tried to deny ever using the term, despite being caught on camera doing so.

The Block duo were also asked for their thoughts on who took the photo at the centre of the ‘whiteboard-gate’ cheating scandal.

The culprit will apparently be unmasked during Sunday’s season finale.

Mark said of the hype surrounding auction day: ‘We were watching like everyone else and the promo came out and we were like, “Seriously?”

‘No one has ever confessed to us, no one has ever told us. So we can’t wait.’

Mitch added: ‘But also, is it going to be “the truth” or “somebody’s truth”?’

This was a sly reference to how Tanya repeatedly used the term ‘my truth’ when telling her side of the story in regard to the cheating scandal.

In an explosive trailer for auction day, Tanya and the Packham twins look set to spill the beans and reveal what really happened behind the scenes.

The brothers say they want to come clean about the ‘whiteboard-gate’ plot.

Meanwhile, Tanya is set to expose the text message she received from the ‘anonymous tradie’ who allegedly started it all.

Tanya and Vito found themselves at the centre of a scandal early in the season after she obtained a photo of the show’s production schedule on a whiteboard.

Anyone who saw the photo would have the advantage of being able to plan their specifications weeks in advance or pre-order something for a specific room.

While the Gucciones and the Packhams were each docked two points for a room reveal after their plot was exposed, Tanya has yet to properly explain how she obtained the photo, instead giving a vague story about being sent it by a ‘tradie’.

Some continue to suspect she broke into host Scott Cam’s office and took the photo herself, leading to ongoing tensions on the building site.
