Nene Leakes says she’d return to Real Housewives Of Atlanta… but she has ‘unfinished business’ with Andy Cohen
Nene Leakes says she’s open to coming back to the Real Housewives Of Atlanta if she can work out her ‘unfinished business’ with head honcho Andy Cohen.
The reality icon, 53, talked about her future with the Bravo hit while stopping by The Real on Thursday.
‘Yeah, sure. I’ll return to the show,’ Leakes told hosts Loni Love and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Garcelle Beauvais. ‘I’m okay with returning to the show as long as we can work through a few things. I’d be happy to return to the show.’

Leakes said her main goal was working things out with Cohen who recruited her for the first season of RHOA all the way back in 2008.
She made her debut alongside DeShawn Snow, Shereè Whitfield, Lisa Wu-Hartwell, and Kim Zolciak.
‘I think Andy and I were really close for a really, really long time and I love Benny Boo [his son Benjamin] and I helped pay for his baby shower and all those things,’ the star said.
‘I think that Andy and I need to have a sit-down and talk and we’re off to the races!’
Nene announced that she was leaving RHOA in September 2020 on her YouTube channel.
There, she explained how she made the decision after ‘an extremely, extremely long, exhausting, tiring, emotional negotiation.’
‘There has been a lot of emotion flying on both sides,’ she said in the video, going on to add that it ‘wasn’t an easy decision.’

Meanwhile, Leakes has been mourning the loss of her husband Gregg, who passed away from cancer on September 1st at the age of 66.
The shared that it has been a hard adjustment without her love, especially after she upended her life to care for him after his cancer diagnosis in 2018.
‘It was difficult,’ she admitted. ‘Gregg handled a lot of things in our life.
‘There were some things I didn’t know — some of the simple things. I didn’t even know who the lawn guy was. I was having to ask him questions like that.’
