A Border collie club has smashed the world record for the most dogs gathered in a park.
Nearly 600 pooches were at Willaston Oval in Adelaide on Sunday to raise money towards animal charities.
While the record of 576 dogs is unofficial because the Guinness Book of Records does not accept breed-specific attempts, organisers said it was the biggest ever gathering of border collies that were not restrained by their owners.

The Border Collie Owners of South Australia organised the charity event to beat TV Vet Dr Katrina Warren’s 2013 attempt of 534 dogs.
Yvonne McGrath, who helped organise the fundraiser said the animals were very well behaved.
‘I couldn’t believe how good they were,’ she said.
The world record attempt also included food, activities and demonstrations.
‘One of the girls did pilates with her dog, Ms McGrath told The Daily Telegraph.
The $6,000 raised on the day will go to SA Dog Rescue, Scruffer Lovers and Guardian Angel.
