She is widely hailed as one of the most beautiful women in the world but Yasmin Le Bon has revealed that she has ‘beaten herself up’ over her changing figure.
The 52-year-old supermodel, who is mother to Amber, 28, Saffron, 25, and Tallulah, 23, with husband of 32 years Simon Le Bon, has opened up about the struggle she has faced embracing weight gain as she grows older.
‘I’ve had the body of a boy all my life, and suddenly I have boobs and the belly and the butt to go with them,’ she told the Sunday Times magazine.
‘It’s so at odds with who I am, I’ve found it quite traumatic.’

Speaking to the magazine alongside her older sister Nadreh, 58, the duo looked back on their lives growing up together.
She continued: ‘I’ve beaten myself up over the years and given my body a hard time, but at some point you have to be kind to yourself.’
Yasmin, who lives in London with her family, was discovered at 18 after signing to Models 1 and quickly became one of the highest earning models in the Eighties.
Nadreh revealed how at the time she and her mother had both pushed Yasmin into modelling.
She recalled of Yasmin’s eating habits as she broke into the mainstream: ‘Back then, I can remember her eating half a pot of seaweed for her dinner.’

Yasmin has spoken candidly about how she has struggled to balance her modelling career with the responsibilities of raising three daughters.
She also revealed how she had gained ‘about a stone’ in her 40s and that it had been ‘quite a shock’ to develop cleavage in later life.
Speaking to the Mail On Sunday last year, Yasmin said: ‘Agh, the boobs! It’s quite a shock to develop breasts later in life.
‘I’ve always felt very masculine; I’ve got a strong jaw. When I wore a vest and walked down the street, suddenly I had these things jiggling around and people were looking – I was mortified. It was like part of me had disappeared.’
