Natalie Sady ditches Brownlows due to ticketing mistake

She organised designer shoes, jewellery, a couture Silvana Tedesco gown, and even got a spray tan for the 2017 Brownlow Medal ceremony.

But Natalie Sady, who appeared on the first season of The Bachelor back in 2013, told the Daily Mail Australia on Monday evening that she was left ‘out of pocket’ after a ticketing bungle saw her allocated seat go to somebody else.

‘Somebody screwed up and allocated our tickets elsewhere,’ said the distraught 38-year-old.

‘Somebody screwed up and allocated our tickets elsewhere’: Former Bachelor star Natalie Sady told Daily Mail Australia she was told at the last minute she wouldn’t be able to attend the Brownlow Medal ceremony due to a ticket bungle

‘Like any woman does when going to an event like the Brownlow’s, I made some calls, organised a gown, tracked down shoes and jewellery,’ she explained.

‘I had my make-up artist and everything ready to go until 10.30 this morning when I found out there was an issue.’

She continued: ‘There’s also a sense of anger though because I’m out of pocket now quite a bit after spending money getting ready for the event.

‘It’s just one of those incredibly disappointing things. It’s such a coveted event that everyone wants to go to and I thought this was my year and my chance.’

She added: ‘Instead I’ll be sitting on the couch having a glass of wine.’

On Monday, Jesinta Franklin (née Campbell), Rebecca Judd and Nadia Bartel all confirmed to AAP that they would not attend the ceremony either.

Ms Bartel, wife of past Brownlow medallist Jimmy Bartel and regular on the best-dressed lists, told AAP the couple would not attend on Monday night, offering no reason for their absence, while indicating they ‘will be there in the future.’

Ms Judd’s management also said she will not be attending this year’s awards.

Jesinta, wife of Swan’s player Lance ‘Buddy’ Franklin, will be another no-show for the annual ceremony because she’s unwell.
