Tyson Fury last stepped into the ring in November 2015 as he ended the decade-long reign of Wladimir Klitschko to become heavyweight champion of the world.
Ahead of the Klitschko bout at the ESPRIT arena in Dusseldorf, Fury tipped the scales at 112kg — 17st 8lbs — just one pound heavier than his Ukrainian opponent.
But the Gypsy King was pictured leaving Manchester’s San Carlo restaurant on Sunday night looking miles away from his fighting weight as his boxing career appears to have hit an impasse.

The Brit has not stepped into the ring in almost two years as his career seems to be in limbo
Fury’s last venture into the ring was when he beat Wladimir Klitschko back in November 2015
That night in Germany was one of the greatest nights in British boxing history. Fury outboxed Dr Steelhammer with fleetness of both foot and hand as he came away with a unanimous points decision.
Since claiming the title of world heavyweight champion, the 29-year-old has had two rematches against the Ukrainian postponed last year and lost his boxing licence last October when he admitted using cocaine and struggling with depression.
He hoped to return to the ring earlier this year but that plan was scuppered when his National Anti-Doping Panel (NADP) hearing was adjourned in May.
Since then he has announced his retirement, only to change his mind again, and has vowed to ‘return to his former glory’ should his name be cleared.

Ahead of Billy Joe Saunders’ win over Willie Monroe Jr a week ago, Fury claimed to have lost ‘two stone in two weeks’.
He has been vocal about his desire to fight fellow Brit Anthony Joshua — the man who now holds the heavyweight crown following his own felling of Klitschko — should he make a return to the ring.
And Fury is confident about his chances should the all-British mega-bout come to fruition. Although he concedes he needs to ‘get some weight off’, he believes a fight against the Watford bruiser would be ‘an easy one’ for him.
