A shocked Cardinals fan had his plate on nachos destroyed by a Cubs player chasing a foul ball at Busch Stadium.

Andrew Gudermuth, from Sikeston, Missouri, was watching the game in St. Louis yesterday with his nephew and girlfriend while enjoying a plate of cheesy nachos.

During the game Chicago Cubs infielder Addison Russell, 23, chased a foul ball before accidentally running straight into Gudermuth’s girlfriend and knocking over his plate of snacks.

Russell emerged from the dugout a few innings later with a plate of nachos and delivered it to the fan. 

He also stopped to take a selfie before heading back to play shortstop.

Gudermuth, who now goes by Nacho Man on Twitter, posted the smiling snap to social media after the game. 

He wrote to Addison Russell: ‘Thanks for the nachos! I also caught your foul ball so that was cool. Good game cubbies #nachoman #nachomanout.’
