Nicole Kidman became emotional as she revealed her beloved mother Janelle was supporting her at the premiere of her new film Being the Ricardos.
The actress, 54, is portraying one of the most iconic TV stars of all-time, Lucille Ball, in the highly anticipated film.
During the Sydney premiere on Wednesday, Nicole said: ‘It’s very emotional for me to have my mum here.’

‘I also want to say that my mum ran lines with me. She played Desi Arnaz so she gets a shout out,’ she added.
The film is based on a true story and is centered around Lucille (played by Kidman) and her husband Desi Arnaz (Javier Bardem) as they face a crisis that could end their careers and another that could end their marriage.
Nicole recently revealed that director Aaron Sorkin asked her over Zoom if she would be interested in playing Lucille Ball for the movie.

‘Yes, I would love to do anything with you,’ the actress remembered replying while promoting the film on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Nicole also said once she started to study Lucille that she loved playing her because she was such a physical comedian.
Nicole said after she read the script she was completely consumed and captivated by the story of Lucille and Desi Arnaz.

She also said that Aaron was specific that he didn’t want her to do an impersonation of Lucille Ball, which was not something she was interested in doing.
‘You are one of the best actors that ever lived,’ Jimmy told her. ‘You are amazing in every single thing.’
