Brandon said he’s watched the performance, which was slammed by AFL fans, and defended the 70-year-old star.

‘Poor Meat Loaf. I feel bad for Meat Loaf, the flack he gets,’ Brandon said.

‘I’m not going to trash talk Meat Loaf,’ he said, adding that the star ‘gives it his all’ in what he does.

Iconic crooner Meat Loaf delivered an off-key live performance in 2011 that has been widely regarded as the worst ALF entertainment ever.

Meat Loaf later commented on the performance in an interview with the Sunday Mail, blaming the AFL management for the lack-lustre show, as they allegedly failed to provide a live piano or offer enough time for a sound check.

He also claimed that his performance was out of time and off key because he had been forced to sing to a tape and couldn’t hear the backing track in his ear-piece.
