A 42-year-old British man has been arrested in Ibiza after claims he tried to drown his partner in the bath of their hotel.
Police were called to their room in the popular resort of San Antonio at 10pm last night following reports of a commotion.
The woman, also British, says she was attacked by her partner whilst she was having a bath.
She told police he pushed her head under the water so she could not breathe.

She was found with slight facial injuries as a result of the struggle which followed.
Medics are reported to have given her treatment at the scene before she was taken to hospital.
The man was arrested by the Civil Guard who are treating the alleged incident as a case of domestic violence.
It is understood the couple were on holiday in Ibiza.
