Bachelorette’s Bingham says elimination was a mutual thing

He was sent packing on Thursday night’s episode of The Bachelorette.

But Bingham Fitz-Henry is says that his elimination wasn’t a one-sided affair, with the polo player insisting that it was actually a ‘mutual thing.’

‘I think that Sophie and I had just realised we weren’t for each other,’ he told Popsugar. ‘It was sort of a mutual thing.’

He continued: ‘We both enjoyed each others’ company quite a lot as mates, but there wasn’t that spark.’

However, the Bachelorette reject remains hopeful about the future, insisting that he and Sophie will ‘probably catch up’ because they live near each other.

Bingham was eliminated on Thursday night’s episode of the Channel Ten reality show after being up against ‘bad boy’ Ryan in the bottom two.

The blonde hadn’t been blessed with much airtime, with so many outgoing personalities and ‘villains’ featured on the show.

It was an action-packed episode of the reality show, with Sophie Monk testing the suitors’ masculinity in a series of stereotypically male tasks. 

In an adrenaline-pumping group date, the boys were challenged to a plank-off and a tyre-changing test in order to win some alone time with the 37-year-old. 

The Bachelorette airs every Wednesday and Thursday on Channel Ten.
