Man wakes up from surgery and spouts Star Wars theories

A drugged-up Star Wars fan believes he’s figured out plot twists in the upcoming installment of the franchise.

A video shows the moment a hilarious man wakes up from having an endoscopy and begins spouting Star Wars theories, mostly regarding the most recent release The Force Awakens and the upcoming film The Last Jedi.

His main (though somewhat convoluted) point is that he believes Finn, a character introduced in The Force Awakens portrayed by John Boyega, must have some Force capabilities.

‘It is established that you have to be a Force user in at least some way to wield a lightsaber,’ he says.

‘Finn is able to use a lightsaber no sweat in Star Wars The Force Unleashed (sic) indicating that he is a Force user of some sort,’ he continues.

In canon, there is currently no indication that Finn has Force abilities, though the man does prove a good point when he says that lightsabers are meant to to be handled by those with the Force.

He expanded on his theory by asking why Finn didn’t die after he was struck with a lightsaber by the film’s villain Kylo Ren.

‘It was all along his spinal cord that should have completely killed him. He’s not dead. He is a Force user,’ the man explains to his amused sibling.

The man then jumps back to the prequels and references Mace Windu, a Jedi Master portrayed by Samuel L. Jackson.

‘Samuel L. Jackson who played Mace Windu referred to him at least on one occasion as ‘black Jedi’ I think he is withholding something,’ the man said somewhat nonsensically.

He also pointed out the somewhat flawed design of lightsabers, but managed to contradict himself when he said the majority of the weight of the weapon is in the blade, despite it being made of light.

It is unclear where the surgery took place, but the man is believed to be American.

The man also referenced Mace Windu, portrayed by Samuel L. Jackson, who appeared in the three prequels

‘Lightsabers are incredibly heavy and the design is very unwieldy because all of the weight is in the blade – not the blade,’ he said. ‘The blade is of course very lightweight because it is light.

One of the most popular fan theories is that Rey, portrayed by Daisy Ridley, is related to Luke Skywalker. Rey has been shown to have abilities in the Force.

The next installment The Last Jedi hits theaters on December 15, so we’ll learn if these man’s incoherent theories prove to be accurate.
