Hayley shared images of the big-ticket item to the Markdown Addicts Australia Facebook group admitting she was simply at the ‘right place at the right time’ to score the buy.
Photos show the brown coffee table from Super Amart Furniture had been reduced from $699 to a mere $30 because some of the wood was scratched.
‘It was in the clearance section at the back, it has a few scratches at the front but I wasn’t leaving it there at that price,’ she wrote.

Hayley wasn’t expecting the huge markdown even though the furniture store is known for its affordable prices.
She claimed the entire range as ‘crazy expensive’ and wouldn’t buy the luxe piece of furniture at full price.
Hayley said a number of other large products had been significantly reduced, making it worthwhile to check the clearance section every time you visit a store.
‘They had a section at the back with clearance things – there was a couch, a dining table, an outside dining set – all heavily reduced,’ she wrote.
‘If you zoom in on the price tag it says the coffee table had scratches, nothing too bad though.’
Online the product is even more expensive and is priced at $759.

A third said: ‘We got a TV stand a few years ago, $700 down to $100 from the back of the store as well. Great bargain! I wouldn’t even know where the scratches were now.’
‘I scored a square table a few years back it was $699 and got it for $60 as when they pulled the sticker of it; it left a 20 cent mark on it, it’s very heavy and solid and I use it as my craft table,’ another added.
Others agreed that it always pays to check the clearance section of Super Amart when visiting in store to find great buys on sale.
