Anastasia Beverly Hills’ famous daughter lifts the lid on some of her best makeup tips

Anastasia Soare, the owner of cosmetics giant Anastasia Beverly Hills, has changed the way women apply makeup to their eyebrows – for the better.

Her expert brushes and easy-to-apply formulas are the reason her DIPBROW pomade is in just about every makeup bag across Australia.

But standing next to her famous mother – and with a collection of colourful palettes under the namesake Norvina – is Claudia Soare, who is forging her own name in the beauty industry – and gaining traction fast.

‘In my early years I used to go to pro makeup stores with my mum and I was very inspired by stage makeup. I grew up doing theatre, so I felt like I had found my place,’ Claudia told Daily Mail Australia.

Currently working as the president of Anastasia Beverly Hills, Claudia maintains a close personal and professional relationship with her mother

‘Over the years I have created my own signature look. I enjoy doing different styles and expressing myself through makeup, hair, and fashion. It’s all about creating a beauty story head-to-toe, I love the details that go into it.’

Currently working as the president of Anastasia Beverly Hills, Claudia maintains a close personal and professional relationship with her mother, respecting what the ‘eyebrow queen’ wants to create as well as adding her own flair along the way.

‘I have worked with my mum my whole life. With so many years of working together in both business and creative, I was able to develop and understand her vision of beauty and our own brand aesthetic and apply that to creating products,’ she said.

‘We know each other so well and trust each other’s vision which makes for a very special dynamic.’

Some of Claudia's must have makeup products include Magic Touch Concealer, Cream Bronzer, Brow Freeze, Brow Wiz, Lip Liner, Lipstick, Norvina Pro Pigment Vol. 5, Chroma Stix and False Lashes

When applied she can go from a soft glam look perfect for Zoom meetings or amp things up for a ‘full-on, artistic look’.

So what tips has she learned over the years for nailing your face?

Firstly, for her brows, Claudia uses a lighter shade to fill the brow – like a background colour – before turning to a deeper shade closest to her hair colour to detail and create hair-like strokes.

‘This will give you a natural-looking, dimensional brow,’ she said.

For foundation, apply starting from the centre of the face and blend out and downwards.

‘Typically, we need most coverage through the centre of the face and the first area you place the brush down will give you instant coverage,’ she said.

‘Then, blend out using circular motions for a natural finish. If you need to build coverage, use pressing motions.’

Finally for eyeshadow, having the right tools is key.

‘Use dense, flat brushes to apply the eyeshadow to the lid to make sure you get the most pay-off from your shadow. Use fluffy brushes to diffuse and blend the edges,’ she said.

While minimalistic makeup looks were the major trend of 2021, Claudia is betting that we'll see a return to glam 'but keeping a fresh-faced vibe'

‘Natural and luminous skin is here to stay, it’s all about a second-skin look using easy-to-apply, cream products,’ she said.

‘Lips will have a moment, especially lip liner for creating a contoured effect and that modern twist to the classic 90s lip with a deeper liner and lighter lipstick.’
