Man United’s sulking stars ‘are annoyed by Ralf Rangnick’s OLD-FASHIONED training and are confused as to why his No 2 Chris Armas – who they compare to TED LASSO – takes the lead… with too much work on organisation and shape’

Some of the Manchester United squad are reportedly vexed by Ralf Rangnick’s training methods and puzzled as to why his assistant Chris Armas leads most of the sessions.
Rangnick’s appointment following the sacking of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in November has not had the desired effect with the Red Devils still struggling for form.
The problems continue to mount and some stars are annoyed by the ‘old-fashioned’ training sessions, according to ESPN.

The report claims that a portion of the Red Devils squad are also perplexed with Rangnick taking a backseat behind his assistant Armas in terms of coaching.
The 49-year-old American coach has reportedly been compared to Ted Lasso – the protagonist in the Apple TV+ series where an American college football coach is hired to manage a Premier League side, even though he only has experience in American football.
The report adds that some players are less than impressed by the emphasis on organisational and shape work on the training ground instead of drills to improve skills.
Manchester United’s under-performing stars failed to deliver once more this week as they were held to a 1-1 draw with Burnley at Turf Moor.
Paul Pogba put them ahead in the 18th minute but a James Rodriguez strike shortly after the break pegged them back and saw them drop points. Cristiano Ronaldo was in the headlines for storming down the tunnel straight after the final whistle.
The stalemate came just a few days after United crashed out of the FA Cup to Championship side Middlesbrough on penalties at Old Trafford.

United are still in contention to finish in the Champions League places despite drawing six and losing the same number of top-flight matches this season.
Rangnick’s outfit are just one point behind fourth-placed West Ham and welcome Southampton – confident from their 3-2 victory at Spurs in midweek – in Premier League action on Saturday lunchtime.
Former United defender Rio Ferdinand has backed his old club to win the battle for fourth spot.
Burnley heaped more misery on United this week as they held them to a 1-1 draw at Turf Moor
‘There’s always hope (for United). There’s no one fighting for the top four who is standing out as the leading, consistent candidate, who can string five wins together or go unbeaten for 10 games. It’s up for grabs,’ he told BT Sport.
‘No one – Arsenal, West Ham, Man United, Spurs especially – can say they have consistent performances and results to stake a claim. They’re all looking at each other going “I don’t know what they’re going to do but I don’t know what we’re going to do either”.
‘I think Man United will get there. They’ll get the goals to win the right amount of games to keep them in the top four… but I can’t be overly confident about that.
‘Against Burnley it was a Jekyll and Hyde performance. They came out for the second half and looked a completely different team.’
