A home stylist has shared how she created a sophisticated floor lamp that’s made entirely from plastic bottles.
Mum-of-two, Geneva Vanderzeil, from Brisbane posted a video to TikTok revealing exactly how she performed the stylish up-cycle.
To create the bobble lamp Geneva first cut the tops off soft drink bottles with scissors and sliced down the side of each bottle top.

She then neatly cut the screw necks off and revealed the cone-like shape of the soft drink bottle top.
Next the mum placed the bottle tops onto the lamp base and continued to do so with the other bottles but in alternating directions.
She then taped and secured each of the bottle tops together with masking tape to create rounded, diamond-like shapes.

Once the lamp post was full of bottle tops she gave the base and bottles a fresh coat of white paint.
After the paint had dried she applied a layer of plaster onto the bottles to create a seamless look and allowed them to dry.
Once the plaster was dry Geneva used sand paper to sand the surface until smooth, she then placed a white lamp shade on top and sat the finished lamp in her room.

The DIY enthusiast’s incredible up-cycle has received almost 151,000 views and many have left comments praising her hard work and impressive skills.
