Others were eager to know how exactly Samy managed to get a whole roast chicken free of charge.
‘If you go to Coles before 8pm and they have no Coles RSPCA hot chooks you ask the deli for a chicken voucher and they give you a free chicken voucher for next time. Has a week to be used,’ she wrote in the comments.
‘Check the chicken warmer to see if your store does it there is usually a sign attached to the warmer!’
But she claims some Coles delis don’t use the lesser-known system and to check with staff.
In the comments of the post, others praised Samy for sharing her tips for scoring discounted supermarket buys.
‘I obviously need to go shopping when you do,’ one person joked.
‘Well done!’ another wrote, a third added: ‘What a score.’
It’s become known the best time to shop for bargains at supermarkets is after 7pm or just before the store closes.
