Rae did point out that various social media outlets could be used for harm in the sense that many provided relative anonymity to their users.
‘Sometimes people use social media to kind of mask themselves or disguise themselves and be able to say whatever they want, whether that’s going to hurt someone or not,’ she said.
The dancer also expressed that prospective social media stars should utilize their platforms to promote positivity.
‘Hopefully, we continue to grow on the internet and…use it kind of what it was initially meant for, which was sharing things that we’re passionate about,’ she stated.

However, when Rae was asked about if TikTok would promote a more diverse lineup of creators in the future, she was unsure about what is set to happen on the outlet.
‘I think there’s a lot to learn about it and a lot to figure out in the next few years. That whole change in life has only happened recently. I guess we’ll have to see,’ she said.
The performer also told the media outlet that she had adopted a mantra to live by at the start of her career, which she still followed: ‘Not everyone is meant to like you.’
