Superintendent suspended for pulling down board VP’s pants

The superintendent of a Cleveland, Ohio, school district has been suspended after being caught on surveillance camera pulling down the pants of the school board vice president.

Superintendent Dr Charles Keenan was suspended for 10 days without pay after pulling pulling down Vice President Michael White’s pants during a school football game in August.

In the video it clearly shows Keenan approaching White from behind who is against a fence, grabbing his pants and yanking them down. White quickly pulled his pants back up.

Keenan told Fox8, ‘I immediately apologized. I think initially we were both in shock.’ He added that he fully accept the consequences for what happened.

White reported the incident to the school board after feeling upset about the pantsing. Members met behind closed doors to discuss the issue and decided on the suspension and to have the superintendent to write a letter apologizing to the board.

Keenan said his was being playful and didn’t intend to pull White’s pants all the way down.

The superintendent also said he feels, ‘regret and embarrassment, I never intended for the pants to come off the hips.’

School board president, Pamela Crews, said, ‘It was really such a situation that went awry. We just want to get back to the kids; that is our focus, so we just want to get past all of this and move forward.’

Luckily the pantsing happened before the football game, and no students saw it happened. It’s reported that no alcohol was involved.
