- Domestic violence murder victim Allison Baden-Clay memorial vandalised
- The plaque was forcibly removed from the sandstone memorial site recently
- The victim’s father Geoff Dickie has stated his disappointment at the incident
The family of murdered mother Allison Baden-Clay are upset after a memorial to her at the spot where she was murdered has been destroyed by vandals.
The plaque was forcibly removed from the sandstone memorial which stands at the site where her body was found in western Brisbane after she was killed by her husband Gerard Baden-Clay in 2012.
‘We were disappointed and upset about someone interfering with it. We think it’s a bit disrespectful to damage a memorial,’ her father Geoff Dickie told The Courier-Mail.

Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk slammed the vandals responsible for the damage.
‘The memorial is a constant reminder to everyone who knew Allison about how she touched their lives,’ she said in a statement.
‘It is awful to think that someone would damage it in this way.’
Her husband, Gerard Baden-Clay, is serving a life sentence for her murder.
