David Beckham debuts new number Seven tattoo in Japan

He is known for his heavily tattooed look, and is believed to have almost 50 on his body.

And David Beckham unveiled yet another new inking on Wednesday, which saw his famously lucky number seven tattooed across his forefinger.

The former footballer, 42, debuted his new addition at a press conference in Tokyo, Japan – just one day after shocking fans with a video of himself eating whole crabs while in the capital.

David’s new tattoo was clear for all to see as he spoke at the Las Vegas Sands press conference, in a slick grey suit and tie combo.

The inking saw the number spelled out across his forefinger in a brush script, amidst his endless other tattoos on both hands – including the words ‘My Love’, ‘Lead with Love’ and the digit 7, on his fifth finger.

Seven is known to be lucky to the sportsman, as it was the number emblazoned on the back of his Manchester United and England shirts as a midfielder.

He even went on to call his daughter Harper Seven back in 2011, in another nod to his days as a footballer.

Earlier this year, his oldest son Brooklyn, 18, proceeded to follow in his father’s footsteps and have the word ‘Seven’ inked on his forearm.

David first went under the needle in 1999 after the birth of Brooklyn, and has gone on to have well over 40 tattoos.

These include the words Pretty Lady inked above Harper’s name on his neck, in honour of her fourth birthday, and his wife Victoria’s name in Hindi, as well as ’99’, the year of their wedding, and 2006, the year of their commitment ceremony.

While he is fast approaching a whopping 50 inkings, the father-of-four has previously revealed that he has no regrets about any of them.

‘I don’t regret any of them,’ he said. ‘They all have a meaning. I think that’s what’s important about tattoos, if they have a meaning you’ll never regret them.’

Making the most of his time in the capital however, the father-of-four documented his evening at a swanky fish restaurant on Tuesday night – which saw him try out some of the country’s more bizarre delicacies.

In a video posted to his Instagram story, David showed followers a plate of whole crabs, aptly captioned: ‘Crabs mmmmmmm’

Going on to shock his fans however, the father-of-four then proceeded to film himself eating one of the crustaceans whole – before he broke out into laughter at the event.

Yet, clearly enjoying every mouthful, David went on to share a number of other snaps of the luxurious fish dishes he feasted on.

His post comes just one day after his wife Victoria revealed the very healthy diet their family enjoy back at home in London.

Also taking to Instagram, the designer, 43, shared a snap of a tray of mixed nuts, containing pumpkin seeds and pine nuts, with a bottle of Liquid Aminos – a gluten-free replacement to soy sauce – captioned: ‘After school snacks!’

Victoria, who raises Brooklyn, Romeo, 15, Cruz, twelve and Harper, six, with David, has always been candid about her healthy lifestyle at home.

She told Vogue Nederland in June: ‘I go for a three mile run every morning and I work out for an hour with a personal trainer’, before revealing exactly what her 15-year-old has ‘to start his day’.

She explained her morning routing ‘gives me just enough time to get to the kitchen to puree Romeo’s avocados’ – proving just how healthy the household can be’.
