Couple tie the knot after meeting thanks to identical cars

A man and a woman who met during a grocery shopping mix-up have tied the knot, five years after their identical cars caused them to meet in a parking lot.

Colin and Tiffany, of Delray Beach, Florida, first crossed each other’s path in 2012 after each one of them paid a visit to a Publix supermarket.

In the parking lot, Tiffany unlocked her white Jeep Cherokee from afar and was preparing to put her groceries inside when she noticed a stranger near her vehicle.

Tiffany thought at first that someone was trying to steal her car, but told DailyMail.com she then noticed the man was busy loading his own shopping inside.

Confused, Tiffany told the stranger the car was hers, but he didn’t believe her immediately.

She ended up clicking the lock button on her car keys, causing the horn to sound and providing ample evidence that the Jeep was indeed hers.

‘He was completely disoriented,’ Tiffany said, adding: ‘I was definitely a little more friendly than he was. He was very adamant it was his car an was almost annoyed with me, probably thinking I was a nutcase.’

Colin ended up realizing his car was parked right next to Tiffany’s, which was blocking the view to his own vehicle.

What could have been just a confusing parking kerfuffle turned into something more when Tiffany jokingly volunteered to keep Colin’s shopping.

It goes on: The two love birds still own their identical white Jeep Cherokees and still mix them up constantly, which Tiffany said is now 'the biggest annoyance'

‘After the mix-up, I felt awkward and wanted to break the silence so said, “You can leave your groceries though, I’ll take those” and kind of laughed,’ she said.

‘His response? “Only if you’re going to make me dinner with them” with a smirk on his face.’

That response caught Tiffany off guard, but both of them laughed and after two weeks of texting Tiffany ended up welcoming Colin into her home for dinner.

She had taken care to inform her roommate, who was going to be at work at the time, of the upcoming date, and had asked her to call at a specific time to make sure Tiffany was all right.

‘Even though I invited him over to my place, I wanted some escape route in place in case he was weird or I was uncomfortable,’ Tiffany said. ‘She called, and I didn’t answer, but then sent her a text saying “All’s good.” ‘

It gets better: The two have also found out their tastes in vehicles are even more similar than they had originally suspected, since they both previously had Jeep Wranglers

That initial date blossomed into a long-term romance, and the two lovebirds ended up tying the knot in their home State in March this year.

Years after their unusual first meeting, they still have a hard time telling their cars apart.

‘To be honest, it was funny and we laughed the first 10 times it happened,’ Tiffany said. ‘Now it is just the biggest annoyance. We constantly mix up these Jeeps.’

The two have also found out their tastes in vehicles are even more similar than they had originally suspected.

‘The crazy part? We BOTH had Jeep Wranglers before each having a Jeep Cherokee,’ Tiffany added. ‘Granted, those were different colors, but we still can’t believe that.’
