There’s been plenty of hype around Muhammad Mokaev and the 21-year-old starlet showed just why as the Dagestani-born Briton made a blistering start to his UFC career.

Mokaev, who moved to the North West as a child from Dagestan, boasts a sublime amateur career and he has been tipped as a future flyweight champion.

At 21, he is the youngest fighter on the UFC roster but the Mokaev demonstrated his maturity on Saturday night with an impressive victory over American rival Cody Durden at UFC London.

In just 58 seconds, the Briton put his rival away with a clinical guillotine choke, having floored Durden with a crisp knee to the head.

Elated with his victory, Mokaev climbed to the top of the cage and held his arms aloft in celebration and he did not disappoint on the mic when speaking with British legend Michael Bisping.

There’s plenty of excitement around this UFC London card – the first time MMA’s greatest show has touched these shores in three years, owing to the pandemic.

Tom Aspinall tops the bill in a heavyweight clash with Alexander Volkov, while Dan Hooker makes his featherweight debut against Arnold Allen. Paddy Pimblett has also promised fireworks against Rodrigo Vargas.
