A wild boar is menacing families walking down the footpath just a week after it was spotted roaming the streets of Sydney.
According to a local family the giant feral pig almost knocked them over on the footpath as they made there way down a street in Penrith.
‘It came up onto the footpath where we were standing so we had to jump up onto a fence,’ a woman told 7News.

‘A tiny fence, mind you, not one that would have saved lives,’ a second woman added.
Photos and videos of the giant black animal have been shared to social media showing it running into oncoming traffic and causing near-collisions.
While it was first seen by resident Rob Creamer almost a week ago the current whereabouts of the wild pig is unknown.

It’s believed the heavy-set swine is wild, but according to Local Land Services Greater Sydney, this needs to be confirmed by a biosecurity officer.
Mr Creamer tracked the seemingly lost porker as it trotted down Factory Rd, in Regentville before making its way towards Mulgoa Rd, Jamisontown, news.com reported.
The self-proclaimed pig tracker took some photos but said they didn’t do the size of the animal justice.
‘This was no little porky pie,’ he said.

Residents have been advised not to approach the pig, with strict laws aimed at deterring people from transporting and releasing the wild animals.
Fines start at $2,200 for possessing a wild animal and peak at $22,000 for transporting them.
While most residents seemed to enjoy the novelty act of a feral, others weren’t sure it was a sight they could get used to.
‘We weren’t seeing things! This big pig was out doing the Bridge to Bridge walk,’ one social media user wrote.
Another wasn’t as enthused, writing: ‘So is there a plan to catch it? Not exactly the thing I want to see when walking my dogs or pushing a pram’

The Land Services considers the animals a major ‘biosecurity threat’ because they carry diseases such as leptospirosis and Q fever.
They also highly destructive towards agriculture as they destroy crops, water holes and fencing.
Public are being encouraged to report sightings to Local Land Services on 4724 2100.
