Ariana Grande opens up about Manchester concert bombing

It was a horrific and cowardly terror attack that left 22 young fans dead and 250 injured.

And Ariana Grande, 24, has opened up about the deadly bombing at her Manchester concert in May in an interview with Coveteur.

But the Dangerous Woman singer says the traumatic attack was never going to make her cancel her world tour, saying ‘Calling it off and going home was not an option. The message of the show was too important.’

The Victorious actress became emotional as she spoke about the deadly terror attack: ‘I don’t think I’ve been through anything as traumatic as [what] we’ve been through.’

‘So…[touring] can be a lot.

‘Calling it off and going home was not an option,’ she added. ‘The message of the show was too important. For the crew and everyone involved, it’s become more than just a show for us. 

‘We are really grateful to be here and really grateful for this show.’

Grande’s Dangerous Woman tour ended with Wednesday night’s Hong Kong concert. And now the Everyday singer plans to dedicate some time to herself.

‘I think what I’m probably going to do [after the tour] is check in on my health,’ she told Coveteur.’

But it’s not just all about her. The Into You songstress want to tackle misogyny in her down time:

‘Misogyny is ever-present, and we have to be there to support one another. That’s really it. It’s about the sisterhood.’

Nor is the Side to Side hitmaker going to be silent on further acts of terror.

Following the Las Vegas mass shooting, Grande took to Twitter to urge gun control changes on Monday.

She wrote: ‘My heart is breaking for Las Vegas. We need love, unity, peace, gun control & for people to look at this & call this what it is = terrorism.’
