A romantic pilot and his girlfriend joined a very special kind of mile-high club whose membership is restricted only to those who have got engaged while mid-flight.
Keen to pop the question in as ‘surprising’ a way as possible, Hans Miller, 21, of Bison, Kansas, turned what would have been just another fun-filled flight over his hometown into a romantic moment that neither he nor his beloved partner Brooke will ever forget.
Even when it came to posing the question itself, Hans went above and beyond, opting to show, rather than tell, his 20-year-old girlfriend the happy news.
Something different: Hans Miller, 21, proposed to his stunned girlfriend while flying her around their hometown of Bison, Kansas
In a video of the unique proposal, which took place last May, Hans is seen flying the plane over a field, into which he had already mowed the phrase: ‘Marry me?’
‘I got the idea to propose to my girlfriend in the airplane. We had been dating for quite some time, so I knew that I had to do something different, to make it a surprise,’ Hans said in a post.
‘I mowed the letters marry me with a big heart in a field. Then with the ring handy. I flew over it. And she said yes.’
Before the proposal, Brooke can be seen looking out the window and admiring the sights.
Will you marry me? Rather than simply asking the question, Hans actually mowed, ‘Marry me?’ into the grass of a field which he then flew Brooke, 20, over
Surprise! Brooke was overwhlemed with joy upon realizing that Hans had proposed
She’s engaged: Brooke flashed her new ring at the camera and even said, ‘There it is’
But after Brooke sees the message below, she immediately covers her mouth in shock and starts giggling as Hans looks at her and starts laughing too.
Brooke continues to laugh and scream from excitement as she flashes her new engagement ring toward the camera.
At one point she even says, ‘There it is, oh my goodness’ when the camera gets a good view of her newly decorated ring finger.
The camera then cuts to the message that Hans mowed in the field and then back to the couple who continue to smile from happiness at their newfound engagement.
