Kirsty Gallacher has been photographed cleaning a charity shop as she serves part of her community service after pleading guilty to drink driving.

The Sky Sports presenter was arrested after she was pulled over by police smelling on alcohol when she was on her way to pick up her children.

The mother-of-two was three times the legal drink-drive limit and was ordered to carry out 100 hours of unpaid community work.

This week the broadcaster was pictured getting to grips with her new role inside a charity shop in Surrey.

The former Strictly Come Dancing contestant was seen running a vacuum cleaner around the floor as well as sorting donated clothes on a rack.

Other chores included steam- cleaning items in a storeroom and tidying various women’s dresses on display in the shop.

An onlooker told The Sun: ‘She looked handy with a Hoover and very much at home with sorting through clothes.’

Dressed in black with a green jacket and trainers, Kirsty appeared glum as she hoovered up inside the store.

Gallacher was pulled over by traffic police after she was seen driving her BMW X4 erratically in Eton, Berkshire, on August 12.

Police smelt alcohol on her breath as she went to pick up her kids, aged seven and ten, in Windsor at 11am.

She failed a breath test after taking part in a heavy drinking session the night before.

Experts estimated she could have downed up to three bottles of wine to still be three times over the limit the next day.

Kirsty, of Virginia Water, Surrey, admitted drink-driving and blamed the stress of her marriage breakdown with former rugby union star Paul Sampson.

Jennifer Dempster, defending, told magistrates in Slough that the defendant rarely drank.

She added: ‘This is, in many senses, unintentional drink-driving.’

Kirsty was banned from the road for two years in September.

There were fears the scandal could also cost her her job, but the organisation – where she has worked since 1998 – did not take any action.

Gallacher was banned from driving after admitting one count of drink-driving.

A breathalyser test found she had 106 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath – more than three times the legal limit of 35 micrograms.

District Judge Davinder Lachhar told her: ‘It is a very high reading considering it’s 11 o’clock in the morning.

‘Usually the following morning, readings are low. I have to take that into account as an aggravating feature as far as I’m concerned. In your case, the reading is a very high one.’

Gallacher – the daughter of former Ryder Cup captain Bernard Gallacher – had met friends after work on August 11 at The Winning Post pub in Winkfield, Berkshire, where they stayed until 3am.

She posted a picture to her 183,000 followers on photo-sharing app Instagram of her and friends sipping champagne.

Gallacher left her BMW at the pub overnight and took a cab home, before taking another taxi back to her car the next morning and driving eight miles to Eton to meet her children, who had been staying with their father.

The Sky Sports News presenter, of Virginia Water in Surrey, had been due to take Jude, seven, and ten-year-old Oscar shopping for school uniforms.

But she was spotted driving erratically and, after a tip-off, police used CCTV to find her BMW parked on Eton High Street and arrested her next to it.
