Aaron Carter shows off 30lb weight gain after rehab

He may have only spent two weeks in there — but it made a world of difference.

Aaron Carter returned to social media on Saturday to show off the 30lbs he’d gained in rehab.

The 29-year-old posted side-by-side before and after shots, the latter showing a noticeably plumper  — and noticeably happier — figure.

Happy and healty: Aaron Carter returned to social media on Saturday to show off the 30lbs he’d gained in rehab

‘From 115 pounds to 145 In a few weeks,’ he captioned the comparison. ‘On the left 115 on the right 145 Continuing to focus on myself and my health.

Upon entering rehab a fortnight ago, the singer had vowed to stay off social media until next year.

‘Sorry I couldn’t wait to show you till 2018 #proudofmyself #StressFree I missed you all so much,’ he added to his Instagram shot. ‘Needed some time to heal and this is a direct result.’

When queried by a follower why he’d broken his vow of social media silence, he replied:  ‘I changed my mind. Lol am I the only person in the whole world who doesn’t change their minds?’

Carter’s skinny appearance had long been a cause for concern among fans; with many blaming it on drug use.

However in April of this year, he revealed he suffered from a hiatal hernia which affects his appetite.

‘By the way y’all wanna know why I’m so skinny?’ he asked his 600,000 followers at the time. ‘It’s because @ 19 I was diagnosed with a hiatal hernia, I didn’t choose that. Be kind to me.’

‘It’s a terrible stress condition that affects me having an appetite and I’m sorry this is the way I am,’ he continued. ‘Basically, I have an eating disorder.’

Earlier this week his representative Steve Honig told The Blast he had left rehab ‘where he has been working on his wellness’ due to ‘legal and personal matters’ he felt he needed to address.

‘Several legal and personal matters arose that required his immediate and in-person attention,’ Honig said in a statement.

He added: ‘He is still very much committed to his wellness and will be continually working toward being the best person possible.’

It’s been claimed the troubled singer, did ‘really well’ during his rehab stint and is now ‘much healthier’.

A source added to US Weekly: ‘Aaron did really well while he was away in rehab. He wants to continue his road to recovery but he had some urgent financial matters to care of in Florida.

‘He has gained significant weight back and is much healthier. He was really upset that this happened and that he had to leave rehab.

‘Aaron knows that many people may not believe this excuse, but he was really upset he had to leave to handle this situation. He still has plans to continue his recovery.’

The Crazy Little Party Girl hitmaker had announced he was checking in to a rehabilitation facility on September 22.

The day before, police had been called to the singer’s home after a concerned friend thought Carter was in danger based on his appearance during a FaceTime conversation.

‘Aaron has decided to enter a facility to improve his health and work on his overall wellness,’his rep told TMZ the following day. ‘He is going to do this privately and focus all his attention on being the best person and performer possible.’

The entertainer himself cryptically referred to changes in the offing Friday afternoon as he tweeted: ‘Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me.’

The Tampa, Florida native had been indecisive about entering a rehab facility – with sources telling TMZ that his decision changes ‘every hour’ – but eventually committed to the move that Friday.

Carter’s relatives have been worried about his health as of late, the outlet reported, noting an appearance he made on the TV show The Doctors in August that ended in controversy.

In that outing, a drug test administered to Carter confirmed he had tested positive for the prescription pills Benzodiazepine and Hydrocodone, as well as marijuana, but negative for cocaine and methamphetamine.

The star abruptly left the set of the program when the show offered to send him to rehab and pay for it, according to TMZ.

Reps for the Saturday Night artist later told the outlet that there was no drama resulting from the rehab suggestion made to Carter, who departed the studio ‘quietly and professionally.’

Carter has been making headlines over the past few months amid a whirlwind of personal revelations and brushes with the law.

Carter in August he revealed via Twitter that he’s bisexual, having had his first sexual experience with a man at the age of 17, four years after he ‘started to find boys and girls attractive.’

On The Doctors, an admittedly-‘scared’ Carter tested negative for HIV, chlamydia, gonorrhea and syphilis, telling the program he ‘felt like [he] was putting people at risk with [his] body’ and ‘didn’t have the courage to go face the music’ and get tested.

Carter was arrested (along with now-ex-girlfriend Madison Parker) in July in connection with DUI refusal and drug possession in Habersham County, Georgia, later telling Entertainment Tonight that he does ‘not drink alcohol at all’ and does not ‘need help’ with substance abuse.

He said: ‘What I need is for people to understand that I’m human and that I make mistakes just like every other human in this world, but I would never risk my life or my girlfriend’s life.’
