And now Cassandra Thorburn has revealed it was the perfect occasion for her to make her return to public life.
The 44-year-old attended the luncheon on Wednesday, where she was able to raise a glass to the celebratory occasion.

‘I felt really good to be stepping out to support other women at The Australian Women’s Weekly’s Women of the Future Awards and it also felt fitting because I am looking towards my future as a single, confident, mother-of-three,’ she told Fairfax Media.
‘It was a celebratory day for me. I am excited to start a new chapter.
‘I was invited as me and I wasn’t alone. I brought my girlfriend Cara along with me. It felt like a milestone.’
Dressed in a bright pink number, Cassandra looked happy and radiant as she flashed a hint of cleavage while posing for the cameras.

The mother-of-three kept her makeup light and flawless with a hint of pink lip.

As she took to the media wall, she flashed a beaming smile and appeared to be in great spirits.
The journalist split from husband Karl last September after 21 years of marriage and reportedly finalised their divorce earlier this year.
The event was her first red carpet appearance since the split.
