South African professional dancer Wiaan Laing has fooled rugby fans after dressing up in the Cape Town Stormers team kit and performing in an on-field routine to the tune of Beyonce’s ‘Single Ladies’.
The viral video has gained over eight million views and nearly 900,000 likes on TikTok, and features Laing joining the DHL Dancers in a three-minute routine to the hit song.

Surrounded by female dancers, Laing doesn’t skip a beat, strutting his stuff and puffing out his chest in moves straight out of the music video and ending the performance by doing the splits.
Fans on Twitter were stunned by the ‘rugby player’s’ moves, with some questioning what goes on at the Stormers training.
‘Who said Rugby players do not have rhythm, have to show this to my Stormers mates and ask a few questions,’ a fan tweeted.
‘Seriously, we have to know if he is actually one of the @THESTORMERS. #IAmAStormer,’ a Stormers supporter commented.
Laing laid rumours around whether he is actually a player to rest, posting an image of himself in Stormers apparel with the caption: ‘Category is… Rugby Player Realness … Living my Stormers fantasy!’

The 32-year-old is actually a dancer and actor from the Stellenbosch Dance Academy, 50km east of Cape Town.
Laing said he was able to easily fool fans into thinking he was a player due to his strong physique.

Only 10 seconds of Laing’s stunts were shown on television, which was enough to spark the interest of millions.
