Australian foodies were whipped into a frenzy by a TikTok user claiming the ever-popular Sunnyboy ice blocks were back on the shelves at Woolworths.

But it appears the video, which instantly went viral, was a cruel trick and the rumour has since been shut down by the retailer.  

Amassing 1.2million views, the clip showed a box of the nostalgic treats and read: ‘Run don’t walk to Woolworths, Sunnyboys are back’. 

Hundreds of viewers took to the comments of the viral clip to express their excitement whereas others were sceptical.
