An elderly man has allegedly been sexually assaulted twice by a man who broke into his Sydney home last week.
The incidents occurred in the 85-year-old man’s Roselands home, in Sydney’s south-west.
New South Wales Police said the elderly man was asleep in his home on Violet Street on an unknown date last week when a 58-year-old man allegedly entered the house and sexually assaulted him.

It is further alleged the man returned at 9pm on Friday and again sexually assaulted the 85-year-old.
It is understood the two men had been known to each other for a short time.
The incidents were reported to police the following day and officers from Campsie Local Area Command commenced an investigation.
Police arrested the 58-year-old man at an address in Punchbowl around 11.10am on Sunday.

He was taken to Campsie Police Station and charged with two counts of aggravated sexual assault, break and enter with intent.
He was also charged with two counts each of attempted sexual assault and indecent assault.
He was refused bail to appear before Burwood Local Court on Monday.
