Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho was in Austria last Friday to assess Eintracht Frankfurt and Serbia winger Mijat Gacinovic in action.
The 22-year-old winger has netted twice in his first three international appearances for Serbia.
The Mirror say Mourinho may face competition if he is to try and sign Gacinovic, with Bayern Munich interested in a move while Arsenal have also scouted him on the international scene.

The United boss was spotted in the crowd on Friday trying to go unnoticed in a grey cap and it was wondered if he was keeping tabs on his own midfielder, Nemanja Matic.
Austria defeated Serbia 3-2 on the night, but Serbia clinched their place at next year’s World Cup with a 1-0 win over Georgia on Monday.
Gacinovic has been at Frankfurt since 2015, when the German club signed him from Serbian side Vojvodina, where he scored 11 goals in 10 games in the Serbian Super Liga.
He has found goals harder to come by in Germany, netting four times from 51 appearances in all competitions for Frankfurt.
One of those strikes has come this season, in their German Super Cup in the 3-0 win over TuS Erndtebruck.
He has one goal in nine attempts for Frankfurt so far in 2017-18.
