Two men have drowned on the Alabama Gulf Coast while trying to save a child in surf that is still rough from Hurricane Nate.
Steven Wahler, 47, and Bradley Murphy, 21, went into the water in Fort Morgan, Alabama, on Monday afternoon trying to help a 12-year-old boy who was struggling in the waves.
Capt. Stephen Arnold of the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office says the Coast Guard found Wahler’s body and are still searching for Murphy’s.

The boy made it out and is safe.
Arnold says authorities aren’t aware of any relationship between the boy and the men.
