Tennessee teen terrifies neighbor with cardboard cutout

A teenage fan of the CW series Supernatural had been unknowingly giving her neighbors quite a scare thanks to the life-size cardboard cutout of Jensen Ackles she has propped up against her bedroom window.

Kellie Burkhart, a high school student from Tennessee, took to Twitter earlier this month to reveal that her neighbor actually sent a Facebook message to her father complaining about the appearance of the cutout.

‘I’m tired of being scared of whatever is in your kid’s creepy window,’ the man wrote while sharing a haunting photo of what the cardboard cutout looks like from his home.

Whoops! Supernatural fan Kellie Burkhart revealed on Twitter that she has been scaring her neighbor with her life-size cardboard cutout of Jensen Ackles, who plays Dean on the series

The nighttime image sees Kellie’s house completely dark aside from the light on in her room, which makes it look like the cutout of Jensen is a hulking stranger lurking by her window.

While sharing her neighbor’s message and photo, Kellie tweeted: ‘So the neighbor just sent my dad a message on Facebook…’

Unsurprisingly, there were plenty of Twitter users who were incredibly amused by Kellie’s situation, and her post has been retweeted over 32,000 times.

Some people even paid homage to her fandom by sharing memes featuring Jensen’s Supernatural character, Dean.

‘I have the same cutout currently behind a bookshelf because it freaked my sister out,’ a Twitter user known as Bambi T. Lovegoddess commented.

Kellie later returned to Twitter to explain why her neighbor may have been so frustrated with the appearance of the cutout.

‘OK turns out my neighbor has a four-year-old who has a room that faces my window,’ she tweeted in the comments section of her original post.

Kellie told BuzzFeed News that she isn’t sure how long the cutout has been bothering her neighbor, but she noted it has been in her window for months.

‘It was unintentional to scare the neighbor of course, it was just the best place to put it in my room,’ she explained.

Although she and her dad had a laugh about the situation, Kellie has since closed her blinds to appease her neighbor.
