A VIP guestlist service that works for some of the most prestigious clubs in the world has told women that flat shoes are banned in one of London’s top nightspots – and encouraged them not to ‘hold back’ on ‘lengthening their legs’.
In a post on their website, Lux Guestlist set out a suggested dress code for women attending Cirque Le Soir in Soho – the nightclub frequented by models, A-listers and royals.
The website told ladies to match their mini skirts with their ‘best pair of high heels’, adding that ‘no flats are allowed so don’t hold back on lengthening your legs even if you are Claudia Schiffer’.
The company also shared a ‘secret tip’ for women hoping to gain entry, writing: ‘It is sexy to show off some skin but leave something to the imagination! ;)’.
The club’s official website doesn’t feature a dress code but Lux Guestlist’s page is the first to appear on Google search for the club’s dress code. Last year, promoters for the same club told punters ‘do not bring any big/fat girls/guys’ to the venue.

A London-based woman named Teddy Edwardes was so furious that she set up a Facebook petition to encourage women to boycott the club.
Writing in the event’s details, she explained: ‘Around nine years ago, I had problems getting into West end clubs for not wearing heels, so I stopped going. I went again this weekend thinking the times have changed to find out that in fact it’s worse than ever before and still nothing has been done!
‘Not only was this club discriminating about female footwear whilst men fine to wear whatever they like, their website (photo attached) continues to tell women what clothes to wear, what makeup and hair, and how much skin to have on show.
‘It’s not only Cirque Le Soir, (although they’re a major culprit) it’s majority of West End clubs, restaurants, and places of work, and it’s time something is done about it!
‘Please share the event and spread the word!’
MailOnline has contacted Cirque Le Soir and Lux Guestlist for comment.

In May 2017, a woman wanting to gain entry to Cirque was told she and her friends could get in for free – so long as none of them were fat.
Promoters selling tickets for Soho-based Cirque le Soir – which Drake, Cara Delevingne, Miley Cyrus and Rihanna have all frequented – sent a list of rules to hopeful clubbers via Facebook and Whatsapp.
A Facebook message – one coming from Mia Md Mamun – sent to the promoters’ VIP list outlined the stringent rules for entry into exclusive areas at the London club, where a bottle of champagne can set revellers back £1,000.
One read: ‘Do not bring any big/fat girls/guys.’
Cirque Le Soir nightclub, which is loved by Cara Delevingne and Rihanna, came under fire last year after promoters sent these messages on Facebook and via Whatsapping, warning punters not to bring ‘big/fat girls/guys’ as they would get turned away
Among the rules were: ‘2. Bring £20 cash incase (if everyone is super stunning I am sure I can speak to the door girl to either make it cheap or get you in completely free).
‘3. Look as beautiful as I can see you are!
‘4. No big / fat girls / guys (the club will turn a person away).
‘5. Dress glamorous/ hot/ all black is advised.
‘6. Wear good heels.
‘7. Don’t predrink (I’ll give you drinks on my table.’
Another message – from ‘Bianca at Cirque Le Soir’ – backed up some of the rules, but added: ‘6. If there are guys there must be more girls (like 1 to 4 ratio).’
Promoters added that the Soho club, pictured, where a bottle of champagne can fetch £1,000, would turn away fat people
A spokesperson for Cirque le Soir told MailOnline at the time: ‘We would like to distance ourselves from comments made by a so-called “promoter” who is not employed by us in any capacity and reassure you that this is not our door policy whatsoever.
‘We would like to reiterate comments made have not come from anyone at Cirque le Soir, nor anyone connected to the club.
‘We are a globally identified brand known for celebrating diversity, and remain committed to offering everyone a night out like no other.’
One promoter from an external promotions company said a group of ten would be charged three quarters of the entry fee because ‘one girl is not so good’ after a clubber sent him a picture. The teen replied: ‘I just feel a bit bad telling her she’s not that good’

Guests, including Tyga, left, and One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson, right, are served by troops of dancing dwarves, and are treated to fireworks and sparklers every time they purchase a bottle of champagne – prices for which can come with an eye-popping price tag of £120,000
