With temperatures cooling down, now is the perfect time to start getting your cold weather beauty routine in order. While you’re at it, why not switch up your shopping surroundings, too?

Although the shelves at Ulta and Sephora are brimming with fantastic options, there are cosmetic treasures to be found off the beaten path. Madewell is gearing up to launch a new beauty section, Forever 21 has opened a beauty-focused store with more on the way and Amazon just added a cult-favorite brand to its online shelves. 

From big box chains to clothing stores, read on to discover the unexpected places you can score amazing new beauty buys this fall.

MADEWELL

Madewell is finally following in its sister brand J.Crew’s footsteps and adding beauty to its offerings of denim, leather accessories and cotton tees. 

Dubbed the Beauty Cabinet, the section will feature more than 40 curated products from brands that are in line with Madewell’s effortlessly cool vibe like Herbivore Botanicals, French Girl Organics and RMS Beauty.

The products will hit select stores on October 23 and madewell.com on October 24. 

FOREVER 21’S RILEY ROSE

Forever 21 has not just beefed up its beauty selection, its created an entire new store devoted to the category called Riley Rose. 

On shelves, you’ll find prestige brands like Living Proof and Surratt Beauty, K-beauty from favorites like Missha and CosRX, fragrances from Pinrose and Demeter and Instagram darlings like Winky Lux and Lime Crime.  

The first location made its debut in Los Angeles’ Glendale Galleria mall on September 30 and 10 more stores are scheduled to open across the U.S. before 2018. 

WALMART 

The big box store has added celebrity- and professional-backed brands onto the shelves of its growing beauty department while managing to keep its low-price promise. Now, it’s expanding its natural offerings. 

The latest addition to the line-up is Found, a 133-piece line of make-up and skin care that are all $15 or less.

The line is transparent about what’s in its products, and even shares the percentage of natural ingredients in each formula on the packages.
