An Australian small business well-known for its illuminating primer beloved by thousands of women has released another shade in its collection.

Melbourne makeup artist Hilary Holmes started Holme Beauty in 2021 with her signature Base Primer in the colour Bang, but now she has returned to customers with a darker shade – Boom – for women of colour. 

While Bang went on to sell one $65 product every 13 seconds for 24 hours straight after the launch on November 25, it’s looking like Boom will be just as popular with her clientele who are already raving about its abilities online. 

The primers give your foundation greater longevity by delivering a sheer wash of colour and radiance.

They are infused with rich ingredients, including niacinamide to reduce skin congestion, jojoba oil for hydration and white sapphire to give ‘superior adhesion’ for other products layered on top. 

‘Each ingredient is carefully considered and selected for not only its appearance on the skin and its ability to help you create your own look, but also for its effect on the health of the skin,’ Hilary said. 

The multi-use product will save you time in the morning or before a night out but doesn’t mean you have to compromise on a flawless look.

The brand states the primer is suitable for all skin types and doesn’t leave the skin feeling oily or dry.

‘Holme Beauty flipped the switch last night. For POC, we’re an after thought when it comes to makeup and shade range,’ one customer wrote online.
