He then confidently joked: ‘They’re playing that in honor of (Sean Hannity’s) ratings. Did you see how good his ratings are? He’s beating everybody,’ he turned and asked the audience.

Specifically aimed at NFL stars like Colin Kaepernick – who gained national and worldwide attention for protesting before the start of games during the National Anthem – Trump condemned the silent demonstration which has since went viral on the field with several other sports stars.
During the Indianapolis Colts vs. San Francisco 49ers game Sunday, Vice President Mike Pence exited the stands after players knelt to protest.
Trump later took to his Twitter page confirming Pence and Second Lady Karen’s departure from the game came at his request.
He wrote to social media that afternoon: ‘I asked Pence to leave stadium if any players kneeled, disrespecting our country. I am proud of him and Karen.’
The President has strongly criticized their rights to freedom of assembly, freedom of speech and freedom of association by also threatening a tax law and saying he’d ‘like to punch’ a man in the face who knelt during one of his rallies.
