One of those killed is understood to be an instructor, early reports said.

One of the victims was said to be found in the back garden of a house, while two others were located tangled in a nearby tree.

Police said the area had been closed off so inquiries by a specialist forensic team could continue.

A local councillor, Wayne Kimberley, said the incident was a terrible tragedy.

The fatalities are the worst in the industry’s history for the region.
