Missing Melbourne woman Veronica Crymble found dead

  • Brighton woman, Veronica Crymble, 66, was found dead Friday evening  
  • She went missing after a walk on Wednesday, her husband reported her gone 
  • Police were called to an address near her home following reports of a body 

A Melbourne woman who had been missing for two days was found dead at an address not far from her home on Friday evening. 

Veronica Crymble, from Brighton, was last seen by her husband going to bed inside their residential home on Wednesday evening.

Her disappearance was reported to police Thursday morning, with her believed to have taken a late night walk.

Police were called to a location close to the 66-year-old’s Exon Street home after receiving reports of a deceased body.

Her death is not being treated as suspicious as police prepare a report for the coroner.

Ms Crymble suffered from depression and chronic fatigue syndrome, Nine News reported.

The former primary school teacher was a respected member of the Brighton community. 

SES crews combed through the foreshore where she was known to have enjoyed taking walks.
