A mother claims a popular shampoo has left her two-year-old daughter with painful chemical burns on her face and neck.
Jaime Wellings from Newcastle posted photos of her daughter Kaylee covered in red blotches and blisters.
The mother-of-four said the burns were caused by a new formula of Sunsilk Pink shampoo, a brand she has been using for years.

‘It [Kaylee’s skin] was all red, I noticed it straight away and I pulled her hair back and was like “oh my god”,’ she told Seven News.
‘It was all lifted off her face, all red and bumpy. I was absolutely heartbroken at the fact that a shampoo could possibly do that.’
With doctors saying Kaylee’s skin could take weeks to heal, her furious mother is demanding Sunsilk take action.
‘I think they should take it off the shelf because the new formula is obviously not good,’ she said.

Kaylee is now using prescription creams twice a day, and will need to use special medicated bathwash and shampoo until the burns have healed.
‘She is very blistered and some of it has dried up, causing her a lot of discomfort as it’s very itchy,’ Ms Wellings said.

Sunsilk said they will test the shampoo, and do not know of any other complaints about the product.
Daily Mail Australia contacted Sunsilk for comment.
The news comes after a young boy from Perth was left screaming in agony from burns suffered after using Peppa Pig sunscreen during a family trip to Bali.
