Thousand of punters and revellers donned their sharpest attire to attend the world’s richest horse race at Royal Randwick on Saturday.

But when all was run and done, with Redzel, ridden by jockey Kerrin McEvoy, taking home the $10 million in prize money, the grounds became a giant celebration.

Racegoers were spotted getting into the full festivities of the evening, with many spotted letting their hair down and even ditching their shoes.
