The Mont Blanc massif is a mountain range in the Alps straddling France, Italy and Switzerland.
And Kilian Bron is an extreme rider straddling his mountain bike.
Put the two together for an epic glacier descent and it makes for a nerve-shredding video.
This footage shows the death-defying moment the Frenchman recently rode down two portions of the range – over snow, ice and rock – at an elevation of 2,600m (8,530ft).

The Frenchman carefully negotiated the rock, snow and ice on his trusty metal steed armed with a GoPro
In the first stage, according to Lequipe, he is seen carefully negotiating the glacial fissures at La Jonction, which joins the glaciers of the Bossons and Taconnaz, in France.
As the daredevil steers his way down – a lone figure in the vast icy wilderness – he is armed with a GoPro, as well as a drone for stunning aerial shots.
At times, he pauses to avoid certain doom as he is confronted with sheer drops.
The second stage sees him take a relatively more gentle route, on the same day, on the Glacier du Tour, higher up in the valley.

He had to be careful to avoid hitting climbers and hikers on his perilous descent
Here, hikers and climbers sensibly step to one side as he races past on his metal steed.
The video has so far garnered more than 138,000 views on Kilian’s Facebook page.
And as far as cycle routes go, it certainly is a ‘brake’ from the norm.
The second leg of his journey involved streaking through the Glacier du Tour, higher up in the valley
