In the at-home movie theater, ‘an acoustical engineer designed the high-tech flawless sound system using acoustically transparent Indian silk metallic fabric on the wall,’ the website explained

‘Built with steel construction and slate roof, every detail [of the house] was thoroughly developed and created. The decks are lower, not to obstruct your view from the estate. It appears you are floating over magnificent Lake Tahoe.’

The current owners, Geri and Stuart Yount, designed the property themselves, making every room entirely unique. 

‘As we went room by room I insisted nothing be the same anywhere. Everything in the house is unique to its own space,’ explained Geri.

‘We designed our home to follow the natural contour of the land. We wanted to let the breath-taking views be the main inspiration.

‘One of the greatest compliments is when someone who knows us well comes into the home and says, “I can see you here.”‘ 

For the entertainment room, which comes with an 100-year-old billiard table, a custom-designed chandelier, a stone fireplace, and faux painted barrel ceilings, the couple used an English pub for inspiration.

‘A hand-painted sky ceiling turns into a starry night as the lights dim and the black lights reveal the Milky Way,’ it added. ‘This theater is artistically outfitted with 10 down filled leather seats, actual film reel tables and a film reel designed stage with an impressive 16-foot screen.’

‘We lived in our dream home for over 24 years and have so many happy memories with family and friends. Now, we feel it’s time for us to begin a new chapter.’
